The water-soluble vitamin B12 (cobalamin) belongs to the group of B vitamins and plays a role in a variety of metabolic processes - a true all-rounder for health.
Doppelherz B12 Vita-Energie Intense provides 450 μg vitamin B12 in combination with three other B vitamins as well as the protein building blocks L-glutamine and L-serine.
Vitamin B12 + Vitamin B6 + Niacin contribute:

Not only in winter, but also in spring after the dark months, many people lack energy. Plenty of outdoor exercise, a good supply of nutrients through the diet and an extra portion of vitamin B12 support the energy replenishment. Especially in stressful times, healthy nutrition is often neglected. Greasy food, for example, puts such a strain on the body that all that remains for the mind is leaden fatigue.
If you really want to avoid energy guzzlers, it is advisable to change your diet in small steps. You can start by eating an apple instead of a chocolate bar or a fresh salad instead of a curry sausage.
Vitamin B12 is important for our immune system, which is under great strain during the winter months. In addition, vitamin B12 helps provide our body's cells with much-needed energy by supporting normal energy metabolism. With an adequate supply, it thus contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Notable amounts of vitamin B12 are found exclusively in animal foods. Vegetarians and vegans do not consume sufficient amounts of vitamin B12 from plant foods.
If vegetarians can still cover their requirements with dairy products or eggs, people on a vegan diet should supplement their diet with vitamin B12, however. Some plant foods such as nori algae or fermented foods such as sauerkraut do contain the vitamin - but only in very small quantities.
As a sensitive and water-soluble vitamin, B12 (cobalamin) can be destroyed by long storage times and cooking. The handling of food should therefore be very careful.
Most vitamins can normally be absorbed directly by the intestine - the exception is vitamin B12: In order to enter the blood via the intestinal mucosa, the B vitamin requires a special protein: the so-called intrinsic factor (IF).
However, with advanced age, humans naturally often produce less of this protein, so that the body can absorb less and less vitamin B12 as a result. Deficient intrinsic factor is considered the most common cause of inadequate vitamin B12 supply.

The company history of Queisser Pharma
The company Queisser Pharma can look back on more than 100 years of company history. Comprehensive knowledge about health has a long tradition here.
The history of Queisser Pharma begins in 1897 in a small pharmaceutical factory in Hamburg. The graduate pharmacist Alfred Queisser had come from Lusatia in the district of Dresden to Hamburg to make his fortune as a manufacturer. He focused on the production of health and care products such as creams, liquid soap and toothpaste. Despite difficult circumstances, Alfred Queisser managed to continuously expand the company. He owed this to his extensive talents as a businessman, scientist and imaginative advertising expert, whom he united in one person.
The second root of today's Queisser Pharma was created by the Essen pharmacist Josef Peter Hennes. In 1919, he developed the original formula of today's Doppelherz® energy tonic from herbs and other natural ingredients. The tonic was produced and successfully marketed in the eponymous company founded by him.
Both houses eventually merged into "Queisser Pharma", which has been part of HGDF Familienholding Ltd. since the end of the 1970s. & Co. KG, a long-established Flensburg family business, whose parent company was founded in 1738 in Flensburg.
Queisser Pharma today
Since 1987, Queisser Pharma has its headquarters in Flensburg in the former production areas of a Rumherstellung. In addition to other brand products from Queisser, about 1 million liters of Doppelherz energy tonic are produced, bottled, packed and shipped in line with the market.
Queisser Pharma is guided by tradition and at the same time modern - with much grown experience and specialist knowledge, modern and innovative health products are regularly created.
Demand for health products has been increasing for many decades. Our headquarters in Flensburg has therefore been continuously adapted and expanded to meet the steadily growing popularity.
