Doppelherz pure bitter drops from high-quality natural herbs
Tastes are different. However, nowadays our taste buds are mainly confronted with sweet, salty or umami (i.e. "meaty" or "spicy"). Bitter substances hardly play a role in our diet anymore.
As a sweet tooth, however, it is often not easy: the snack in between or afterwards quickly becomes a habit. There are various ways to get rid of such unpleasant habits. As an antipole to the taste of sweet, bitters can offer an alternative here: Instead of reaching for sweet and fatty things in between or after the actual meal, simply drizzle Doppelherz pure Bitter drops on the tongue regularly - and end the meal with this new routine.
Practical: Doppelherz pure Bitter Drops are easy to dose thanks to the pipette, making them ideal for when you're on the go.
Rediscover bitter substances: the liquid plant extract for food supplementation is obtained from 15 selected bitter herbs and roots. These include, for example, artichoke, centaury and wormwood herb as well as gentian, ginger and angelica root. Simply put 25 drops on the tongue three times a day with the handy pipette and swallow. The product has a characteristic aromatic bitter taste.
Doppelherz pure stands for a special selection and processing of high-quality raw materials. In addition, the products of the Pure line are made as far as possible without additives and adjuvants and use ingredients of natural origin.
Sustainability is of great importance in the development of Doppelherz pure products. For example, the folding box of Doppelherz pure Bitter Drops is made of cardboard with a minimum of 90% recycled material.
The product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and is lactose-free.

The company history of Queisser Pharma
The company Queisser Pharma can look back on more than 100 years of company history. Comprehensive knowledge about health has a long tradition here.
The history of Queisser Pharma begins in 1897 in a small pharmaceutical factory in Hamburg. The graduate pharmacist Alfred Queisser had come from Lusatia in the district of Dresden to Hamburg to make his fortune as a manufacturer. He focused on the production of health and care products such as creams, liquid soap and toothpaste. Despite difficult circumstances, Alfred Queisser managed to continuously expand the company. He owed this to his extensive talents as a businessman, scientist and imaginative advertising expert, whom he united in one person.
The second root of today's Queisser Pharma was created by the Essen pharmacist Josef Peter Hennes. In 1919, he developed the original formula of today's Doppelherz® energy tonic from herbs and other natural ingredients. The tonic was produced and successfully marketed in the eponymous company founded by him.
Both houses eventually merged into "Queisser Pharma", which has been part of HGDF Familienholding Ltd. since the end of the 1970s. & Co. KG, a long-established Flensburg family business, whose parent company was founded in 1738 in Flensburg.
Queisser Pharma today
Since 1987, Queisser Pharma has its headquarters in Flensburg in the former production areas of a Rumherstellung. In addition to other brand products from Queisser, about 1 million liters of Doppelherz energy tonic are produced, bottled, packed and shipped in line with the market.
Queisser Pharma is guided by tradition and at the same time modern - with much grown experience and specialist knowledge, modern and innovative health products are regularly created.
Demand for health products has been increasing for many decades. Our headquarters in Flensburg has therefore been continuously adapted and expanded to meet the steadily growing popularity. Here many of our products are manufactured, packed and shipped in modern production lines. From Flensburg the products reach all over Germany and all over the world. To date, we have grown to about 300 employees. This makes Queisser Pharma one of the biggest employers in the city of Flensburg.
The future of Queisser Pharma
The market for health is constantly changing. Health is becoming more and more important for every individual as well as for the social institutions.
The self-responsibility for the health increases as well as the consciousness to be able to influence the health and their continuance actively and independently. Increasing life expectancy and the rising share of older people are setting new trends and presenting the healthcare industry with new challenges. For a company involved in health products, there are great opportunities for the future.
Health awareness and demographic change
A modern medium-sized company like Queisser Pharma must actively change in this fast-paced world. A change that is characterized by major market changes, which are caused not least by the demographic development of the population structure in all countries of the world.
Never before have so many people become so old, while at the same time remaining so young, healthy and actively involved in social life. The proportion of over-60s to 100 people between the ages of 20 and 60 will almost double by 2030. In 2050, 78 out of 100 people will be over 60 years old.
Health care and personal responsibility
Life expectancy increases from generation to generation. Even today, the sixty-year-olds can look forward to more than 20 more years of life. With age, there is an interesting trend towards active health care, prophylaxis and personal responsibility. Clearly recognizable is the endeavor to provide your body with everything necessary to achieve a strong and active old age. People know that they can not leave their health today alone to the doctors. They have to take their health into their own hands and act on their own initiative and responsibility.

Immune system - strengthen in time
Our immune system protects us from viruses and bacteria all year round. However, dry heating air and temperature fluctuations make us more susceptible to colds during the cold season. If you want to support the body's own defenses, you should strengthen your immune system in time..
Our body has many protective barriers to ward off pathogens. Already the penetration into the body is impeded for example by sneezing, coughing, saliva, an acid skin environment or the stomach acid. Only when this protective barrier of the body is overcome is our immune system challenged.
Viruses and bacteria are active all year round, but especially in the cold season there is a lot of work for the immune system. This is because the colder temperatures mean that blood flow to the nose and throat is worse, making them more susceptible. When it is uncomfortable outside, more people are close to each other indoors and can catch infections more easily.
If our body is now weakened or insufficiently supplied with nutrients, pathogens have an even easier time. In fact, people in whom the immune system is not working optimally have three or more infections per year and take longer to recover. So we should think about strengthening our immune system early on.
Nutrition for the immune system
A healthy and balanced diet has an influence on our overall well-being and the performance of our body. Of course, our immune system also benefits from a good supply of nutrients, because then our body has many opportunities to successfully defend itself against pathogens.
It is not for nothing that the German Nutrition Society recommends eating at least three portions of vegetables and two portions of fruit every day. With certain vitamins and minerals you can also support your defense quite specifically:
Vitamin C - Eat kiwis again...
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is probably the best-known vitamin when it comes to strengthening the immune system. Even during and after intense physical activity, vitamin C contributes to normal immune system function when an additional 200 mg is taken in addition to the recommended daily dose.
Good sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, but also vegetables such as broccoli, kale or Brussels sprouts. Between 100-200 mg of vitamin C should be eaten daily. Our tip: Since vitamin C is very sensitive, food should be eaten fresh and not stored for a long time.
Vitamin D - the key hormone of the immune system
Vitamin D is a household name for bone health to many. Recent research has now shown that vitamin D is the key immune system hormone because it supports normal immune system function. Only when the vitamin is present in sufficient amounts can the body's defenses be mobilized.
Actually, vitamin D is not a vitamin at all, but the precursor of a hormone that the human body can produce itself through regular exposure of the skin to sunlight. However, this self-production is often insufficient, especially in the fall and winter months, when the immune system is particularly challenged.
Vitamin D is present in higher amounts in only a few foods. Good sources are fatty sea fish, veal and eggs, but also mushrooms and avocados are among them.
Zinc and selenium - protect the body's cells
The trace element zinc is vital because it controls the function of more than 200 enzymes and is involved in many metabolic processes. For example, the good defense function of our body depends on the zinc balance. It also helps to protect our body cells from oxidative stress.
It is recommended to take in at least 10 mg of zinc daily with food. In case of physical overload, pregnancy or stress it may be more. If you like oysters, you are doing yourself a favor, because they are the food richest in zinc. But also sea fish, seafood, dairy products or beef contain zinc.
Just like zinc, selenium contributes to the protection of cell components against oxidative stress and to the normal function of the immune system.
Selenium requirements are met primarily through meat, fish, chicken eggs, and lentils and asparagus. However, the high degree of processing of foods as well as selenium-deficient soils may mean that the amount of selenium ingested is not always optimal.
Aronia berry - try something new!
Do you already know aronia berries? Until a few years ago, hardly anyone in Germany knew about this "power berry". The small, from North America originating Aroniabeere has it however in itself: The Aronia possesses certain secondary plant materials (Flavonoide), the so-called Anthocyanen. These are responsible for the purple, almost black coloration of the chokeberry. In general, the darker the berries, the higher their anthocyanin content.
Anthocyanidin content (per 100 g) of berries:
- Aronia berries: 800 mg
- Sweet cherries 180 mg
- Grapes, blue 165 mg
- Strawberry 30 mg
The small berry is not suitable for snacking in between meals, it is much too sour and tart in taste for that. However, it can be enjoyed wonderfully in a fruit tea or in delicious fruit curd. Most Aronia lovers like to drink the pressed juice pure. However, dilution with other fruit juices is also popular.
