A journey back in time to the dawn of the epoch
Wittenberg 1517: An Augustinian monk publishes 95 theses against the sale of indulgences. The Middle Ages come to an end, the age of confessionalization appears on the horizon of history. The monk Martin Luther becomes the father of a new church, although he only wanted to free his own from grievances.
In Luther - The Game, up to four players set off for the German lands at the beginning of the 16th century. There they travel to central places of the Reformation - from Magdeburg to Augsburg, Marburg to Nimbschen. The players meet important contemporaries of Luther such as the indulgence preacher Johann Tetzel and Emperor Karl V. Their moves cause Lucas Cranach to paint his famous portrait of Luther piece by piece. The player with the most contacts to Luther and his contemporaries when the painting is completed returns as the winner of this instructive journey through time.
Luther The Game
Martin Luther changed the world with his 95 theses, which fundamentally questioned the church's indulgence trade. As Luther's contemporaries, players follow in his footsteps and travel the cities where he worked. With cheese, bread and thin beer they wander from place to place and meet important companions of the reformer. Along the way, interesting events provide for surprising turns.
