NUK Active Cup stainless steel, 1 piece, 215 ml capacity
There is nothing better than to go on a discovery tour with our dear little ones in the fresh air. Playing, running and romping are on the agenda of the lively world champions. This whole activity is not only a lot of fun, but also thirsty! In summer we need a cool drink for refreshment, in winter our little ones are happy about something warming. Especially in these seasons it is sometimes difficult to maintain a constant and appropriate temperature of the beverages, because they often adapt to the ambient temperature after a short time. The NUK Active Cup stainless steel provides a remedy! The innovative drinking bottle ensures that the drinks stay warm or cool for longer and thus provides a long-lasting drinking pleasure.
Stainless steel drinking bottle ideal for on the go
The double-walled cup body made of stainless steel not only keeps various beverages warm or cold for longer, but also scores with its low weight, durability and leakage resistance. An integrated clip makes it easy to attach the vial to your bag or trousers and prevent it from getting lost. Due to the high stainless steel quality, the bottle is absolutely odourless and tasteless and the particularly soft silicone spout with integrated soft zone ensures a pleasant drinking feeling at the same time. The ergonomically shaped water bottle fits perfectly into delicate children's hands and is suitable for children aged 12 months and over. The NUK Active Cup stainless steel is in any case a faithful companion on the road - because the next thirst is sure to come!
NUK Active Cup stainless steel -Practical drinking bottle for children and parents
Not only for the little ones does the stainless steel drinking bottle offer many advantages, but the NUK Active Cup is also useful for you as a parent in many ways. Thanks to the practical regulation of heat and cold, you no longer have to constantly prepare a new drink at an appropriate temperature, leaving you with more time together with your child, free of worries and, above all, relaxed. Cleaning the stainless steel drinking bottle is also very easy, as it can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher.
The difference to the NUK Active Cup made of polypropylene
NUK's Active Cup made of polypropylene (PP) has been popular with parents and children for years. Robust, hygienic and durable. With the Active Cup made of double-walled stainless steel, beverages not only stay warm or cool for longer, they also serve as a perfect hygienic alternative to plastic products. While the NUK Active Cup made of polypropylene has a capacity of 300 ml, the double-walled stainless steel version has a capacity of 215 ml. Both products are compatible with other NUK First Choice bottle accessories.

NUK philosophy - understanding life
Understanding life - what does that mean? For us at NUK, this means keeping in close contact with experts who are important to the healthy development of a new life: midwives, doctors, nutritionists and, of course, you, the parents. The best ideas we look for from nature: It is, for example, a model for the typical shape of our pacifiers and teat, which resemble the mother's breast when breastfeeding.
Above all, understanding life means paying attention to the needs of the people most important to us: children. We explore their different stages of development at any age and adapt our NUK products accordingly. All NUK products build on each other - so you can always be sure to do the right thing for your child. From the beginning.
Children understand
From birth to kindergarten.
They are just in the world trying to tell us what they need: babies. We want to understand from the first day of life, what these little people need:
A three-month-old baby has different needs than an eight-month-old child, who is currently fighting with the first little teeth. Only when we examine each stage of development and understand exactly, we can give babies and children the right thing at any time. Our products build on each other and grow with them - from birth to kindergarten age. The nicest thing about our work: with every child born, we learn from NUK. Since our company was founded in 1956, more than 50 million children have been born in Germany - and we are pleased that many of their parents have trusted and still trust in NUK products.
Understand parents
And everyday life suddenly becomes an adventure.
Children turn everything upside down. And new parents in front of a thousand new questions. We know that and want to help parents with their new task. With products that help children in their healthy development and make everyday life easier for mothers and fathers. With helpful services. And with downloads that provide worth knowing and entertaining information for you. On our advice and help pages, you'll find all the content sorted by life stages as well as expert interviews, where midwives, doctors and nutritionists answer frequently asked questions. Do you have a personal question or suggestion? Call us or write an e-mail! The contact details can be found on every page of the NUK website at the bottom.
Experts understand
Until all agree.
From the first idea to the finished NUK product, we take a lot of time:
How does the idea become a perfect solution for babies and mothers? Midwives, paediatricians, dentists, nutritionists and, of course, parents know the needs of babies and children. We use their knowledge and experience to think about new products and services or to make existing ones even better. Our quality inspectors also ensure that NUK products come to the baby shelves with exactly the high quality that NUK has been standing for for 60 years.
Understand nature
The basis of the NUK brand.
The best tips and ideas in the development of our products gives us the nature. And let's take a closer look: For example, 60 years ago, we discovered that the breast of the breast perfectly adapts to the baby's mouth during breastfeeding - and develops the first asymmetrical teat after this model. It is shaped to fit the jaw, supports the development of the entire oral cavity and counteracts tooth and jaw malpositions. So suckers and pacifiers not only soothe babies, but also their parents.
All information on the BPA-free range from NUK
Our quality standards are reflected in the uncompromising selection of raw materials, product safety, environmental compatibility and permanent quality controls. NUK regularly optimizes its product range in line with its own research and scientific findings. For this reason, the use of polycarbonate (PC), which contains BPA, was dispensed with well before the legal ban on our bottle production. What you need to know on the subject can be found here.
What is BPA?
The abbreviation BPA stands for bisphenol A. BPA is an ingredient of the plastic polycarbonate (PC), which we use every day, for example in handling plastic bags, food packaging, but also cell phones, CDs and sunglasses, adhesives and nail polish.
Why has BPA come under fire?
While BPA was used largely unnoticed in the production of the plastic PC until the turn of the millennium, a discussion began in the 2000s among physicians and scientists about the effects of BPA on living organisms. The study situation was not uniform and was therefore assessed very contradictorily in different countries and by different institutes. A public debate took up the critical assessments and made BPA a much-discussed topic in the media.
As a market leader that has received many awards for its quality products, NUK has many years of experience with baby bottles made of BPA-free materials such as glass or polypropylene (PP). By completely eliminating BPA, NUK gave parents back a bit of security early on. On June 1, 2011, the ban on manufacturing and selling baby products containing BPA in the EU came into force. NUK had already dispensed with polycarbonate bottles containing BPA long before the EU's requirement and was therefore able to label its baby products as "BPA free" years before the final ban.
How do the authorities assess the dangers posed by BPA?
Competent authorities such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) or the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) comment on the topic of BPA on their websites:
European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR):
What are BPA-free drinking bottles made of?
The product range for alternatives without BPA is wide. Here we explain in detail which materials are used:
Glass
One of the oldest materials known to man is also used by NUK for the production of baby bottles. Glass is particularly hygienic and temperature-resistant. NUK uses only borosilicate glass, which hardly wears out due to its cross-linked surface structure and can withstand temperature fluctuations.
PP (Polypropylene)
Polypropylene is a translucent plastic used by NUK to manufacture BPA-free baby bottles. Its smooth surface provides a pleasant feel. It is particularly unbreakable and is even suitable for freezing.
PA (polyamide)
Polyamide is a plastic with a highly transparent appearance, which it maintains through chemical resistance - discoloration and clouding therefore do not occur. Polyamide is BPA-free, but not suitable for microwave use.
PPSU (Polyphenylsulfone)
Polyphenylsulfone is the most unbreakable plastic among the alternative materials. It is extremely temperature resistant and very suitable for steam and microwave sterilization. Its scratch resistance makes it extremely hygienic, but the highly transparent structure has a slight yellow tint.
