For many years, NUK First Choice has been the first choice for bottle feeding based on the model of breastfeeding. With NUK First Choice we have succeeded in getting even closer to nature - for healthy jaw development and a feeling of drinking like on the mother's breast. The special NUK shape is based on the mother's breast when breastfeeding. It leaves enough room for your baby's tongue and jaw for the natural sucking movement. Thanks to the new soft zone, the latex lozenge adapts even better to the palate. The improved Anti-Colic Air System provides a natural food flow - so your baby can drink relaxed without swallowing air.

The NUK Genius silicone pacifier My first NUK
When choosing a soother for their baby, many parents trust the NUK Genius. It satisfies babies' innate sucking needs, calms and gives comfort. When babies actively suck on the pacifier, this supports the important training of the mouth and jaw muscles and thus promotes healthy oral development. Its jaw-friendly NUK shape was developed with the participation of medical experts and has been continuously optimised. Now it has been possible to further improve the shape of the NUK Genius soother and make it even more tooth-friendly:
The new Genius is particularly soft on the upper side of the lozenge and adapts itself optimally to the baby's palate.
More free space
The extra flat sucking part offers the tongue even more space and allows a natural sucking movement. Thanks to the smoother transition from the teat neck to the sucking part, the soother feels particularly familiar and natural for the baby.
Less pressure on jaws and teeth
The Genius's teat neck is even thinner and narrower to reduce pressure on the jaw and teeth. The
clear silicone material is easy to clean and particularly temperature resistant. It is free of harmful substances, boil-proof, odourless, transparent and has a smooth surface.
With cover protection against pacifier dirt
Perfect for on the go: With the NUK cover protection for pacifiers, the little comforter always stays clean. And it's ready to go when you need it!

Welcome, baby. - Tips for the first days at home
Nine months of waiting and now it's time. For most women probably one of the most beautiful and at the same time also most strenuous and nerve-racking days in their lives. They give a new life. In addition to the joy of having children, many new parents worry about whether they are doing the right thing or whether they are doing something wrong. Here you will find a few tips and tricks to make the first few days at home easier.
The importance of crying
Babies can't do very much at the beginning of their lives. Besides sleeping, newborns also cry very often. Sometimes so much that the parents are already worried whether everything is okay with their little one. How often they cry varies from child to child. Usually, however, it cannot be said for what reason they are doing this. The crying can have different triggers, hunger, tiredness, full diapers or other. In the beginning, crying is the only means of communication for the newborns, because they are not yet able to communicate in any other way. But even if your child often screams, and may be a cry child, try to stay calm, hold the baby in your arms, sway back and forth, or go for a little walk. If this is too much for you alone, don't be afraid to ask your partner, friends or family for help, because ignoring is not an option at this time, because especially at the beginning of the infant needs a lot of affection and love.
The concern for breastfeeding
At first, breastfeeding will be a bit tedious and difficult, as everything is not yet working as it should and the baby will not consume large quantities. But don't worry, everything comes in time. You become more experienced and soon breastfeeding is part of everyday life, but until then a lot of patience and enough time is required. Newborns usually start off by drinking between eight and twelve times during a day, including the night. In addition, the children do not have a proper drinking rhythm in the first few weeks, which means they are fed when the child is hungry. The concern that many mothers or elephants have that their child eats too little is unfounded. It is completely normal for your child to lose some weight during the first few weeks, at the latest two to three weeks after birth, the birth weight should be reached again.
The problem of winding
The newborn should be diapered approximately every three hours, i.e. eight times a day, so that the baby does not get a sore bottom and can feel comfortable. Many children do not like to be diapered, so it is a good idea to change their diaper after eating, as the little ones are full, relaxed and quiet afterwards.
The perfect bathroom
At first, the baby's skin should only be washed with a soft, lukewarm cloth. Baby soap is sufficient, but does not necessarily have to be used. Also the skin does not have to be creamed after washing. Beware of the countless baby products that can contain perfumes that only harm the baby.
The right clothes
Babies may like it warm, but it must not be too warm either, as they cannot yet regulate the temperature themselves. The most important clue is the neck. This should always be warm, but not damp or hot.
The ideal room temperature during the day should be between 18 and 21 degrees. It doesn't have to be warmer, not even in winter, because after all a baby wears several layers, like a sweater, body, socks, etc. In summer, however, it is sometimes only enough with a diaper and a light body.
The right place to sleep
On this occasion, the parents are completely free where they put its little one to sleep. Various possibilities, such as baby cot, extra bed or family bed, are all conceivable. With this question one should pay attention to the baby, where it feels most comfortable and also sleeps gladly. If this place is the parents' bed, it's okay and there's no right or wrong when the parents get the baby to have its own bed.
It doesn't always have to be a bed, by the way. For small naps in between, a soft blanket on the living room floor, for example, is completely sufficient. Only baby bouncers should be avoided at first, as the child's back and abdominal muscles are not yet strong enough.
