Vitamin D for immune system and bones
Doppelherz pure stands for a special selection and processing of high-quality raw materials.
Doppelherz pure Vitamin D3 2000 I.E. drops contains 50 μg vitamin D3 (per four drops) of natural origin. The drops are free of gelatine, gluten and lactose and are suitable for vegetarians. Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones, the normal utilization of calcium and normal muscle function. If four drops are taken daily, the bottle will last for at least two months.
Our body is continuously exposed to viruses and bacteria. Fortunately, in most cases we do not even notice this, because a healthy and resistant immune system reliably protects us from these attacks. Our
body's own defence system has various options at its disposal and usually protects our organism very effectively. At birth, the immune system is not yet fully developed, but it is constantly "learning". A defence against all enemies of the body is innate, but our immune system can also fight certain pathogens in a targeted manner, which can be recognised in a second infection.
The good news: Everyone can actively support the protection of cells against oxidative stress and strengthen their immune system! Sufficient sleep, exercise in the fresh air and regular periods of rest to recharge your batteries are important prerequisites, as
is a good supply of nutrients for our body's own defences. Especially vitamins C and D as well as the trace elements selenium and zinc should be supplied regularly and sufficiently through food. These nutrients contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and to the protection of the cells from oxidative stress.
Tips for a strong immune system:
- Wash hands frequently
- Drink enough
- Ventilate regularly
- Sauna and alternating showers
- Movement in the air
- No stress
- Healthy intestinal flora
- Sufficient sleep
- Good nutrient supply
Vitamin D - supports the immune system
Have you been listening and reading more and more about vitamin D lately? Not without reason, because vitamin D not only contributes to normal bone maintenance and muscle function, but is also indispensable for our immune system! It mobilises our body's defence system to fight unwanted germs - but only if it is available in sufficient quantities.
In fact, however, according to the latest German "National Consumption Study", 82% of men and even 91% of women are not sufficiently supplied with vitamin D.
Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins that can be produced by the body itself. However, we need sunlight on our skin for this. In
the winter months the sun in Germany is usually not high enough to emit sufficient UV-B rays
In addition, more and more people stay indoors or avoid direct sunlight, for example because of work. Older people in particular have particularly low vitamin D levels because their own production naturally decreases.
A diet containing vitamin D is particularly recommended during the darker months of the year. However, only a few foods such as fatty sea fish or liver contain large amounts of the vitamin.

The company history of Queisser Pharma
The company Queisser Pharma can look back on more than 100 years of company history. Comprehensive knowledge about health has a long tradition here.
The history of Queisser Pharma begins in 1897 in a small pharmaceutical factory in Hamburg. The graduate pharmacist Alfred Queisser had come from Lusatia in the district of Dresden to Hamburg to make his fortune as a manufacturer. He focused on the production of health and care products such as creams, liquid soap and toothpaste. Despite difficult circumstances, Alfred Queisser managed to continuously expand the company. He owed this to his extensive talents as a businessman, scientist and imaginative advertising expert, whom he united in one person.
The second root of today's Queisser Pharma was created by the Essen pharmacist Josef Peter Hennes. In 1919, he developed the original formula of today's Doppelherz® energy tonic from herbs and other natural ingredients. The tonic was produced and successfully marketed in the eponymous company founded by him.
Both houses eventually merged into "Queisser Pharma", which has been part of HGDF Familienholding Ltd. since the end of the 1970s. & Co. KG, a long-established Flensburg family business, whose parent company was founded in 1738 in Flensburg.
Queisser Pharma today
Since 1987, Queisser Pharma has its headquarters in Flensburg in the former production areas of a Rumherstellung. In addition to other brand products from Queisser, about 1 million liters of Doppelherz energy tonic are produced, bottled, packed and shipped in line with the market.
Queisser Pharma is guided by tradition and at the same time modern - with much grown experience and specialist knowledge, modern and innovative health products are regularly created.
Demand for health products has been increasing for many decades. Our headquarters in Flensburg has therefore been continuously adapted and expanded to meet the steadily growing popularity. Here many of our products are manufactured, packed and shipped in modern production lines. From Flensburg the products reach all over Germany and all over the world. To date, we have grown to about 300 employees. This makes Queisser Pharma one of the biggest employers in the city of Flensburg.
The future of Queisser Pharma
The market for health is constantly changing. Health is becoming more and more important for every individual as well as for the social institutions.
The self-responsibility for the health increases as well as the consciousness to be able to influence the health and their continuance actively and independently. Increasing life expectancy and the rising share of older people are setting new trends and presenting the healthcare industry with new challenges. For a company involved in health products, there are great opportunities for the future.
Health awareness and demographic change
A modern medium-sized company like Queisser Pharma must actively change in this fast-paced world. A change that is characterized by major market changes, which are caused not least by the demographic development of the population structure in all countries of the world.
Never before have so many people become so old, while at the same time remaining so young, healthy and actively involved in social life. The proportion of over-60s to 100 people between the ages of 20 and 60 will almost double by 2030. In 2050, 78 out of 100 people will be over 60 years old.
Health care and personal responsibility
Life expectancy increases from generation to generation. Even today, the sixty-year-olds can look forward to more than 20 more years of life. With age, there is an interesting trend towards active health care, prophylaxis and personal responsibility. Clearly recognizable is the endeavor to provide your body with everything necessary to achieve a strong and active old age. People know that they can not leave their health today alone to the doctors. They have to take their health into their own hands and act on their own initiative and responsibility.

Immune system - strengthen in time
Our immune system protects us all year round against viruses and bacteria. However, during the cold season, dry heating air and temperature fluctuations make us more susceptible to colds. If you want to support the body's own defence system, you should strengthen your immune system in time...
Our body has many protective barriers to ward off pathogens. Even the penetration into the body is made more difficult by sneezing, coughing, saliva, an acidic skin environment or stomach acid, for example. Only when this protective barrier of the body is overcome is our immune system challenged.
Viruses and bacteria are active all year round, but especially in the cold season there is a lot of work for the immune system. This is because the colder temperatures cause the blood circulation in the nose and throat area to deteriorate, making it more vulnerable. When it is uncomfortable outside, more people are close to each other indoors and can get infected more easily.
If our body is weakened or insufficiently nourished, the pathogens have it even easier. In fact, people whose immune systems are not working optimally have three or more infections per year and take longer to recover. So we should think early on about strengthening our immune system.
Nutrition for the immune system
A healthy and balanced diet has an influence on our overall well-being and the performance of our body. Of course, our immune system also benefits from a good supply of nutrients, because then our body has many possibilities to successfully defend itself against pathogens.
It is not without reason that the German Society for Nutrition recommends eating at least three portions of vegetables and two portions of fruit every day. With certain vitamins and minerals you can also support your immune system in a very specific way:
Vitamin C - Why not eat kiwis again?
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is probably the best known vitamin when it comes to strengthening the immune system. Even during and after intensive physical exercise, vitamin C contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system if 200 mg is taken in addition to the recommended daily dose.
Good sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, but also vegetables such as broccoli, kale or Brussels sprouts. Between 100-200 mg of vitamin C should be eaten daily. Our tip: Since vitamin C is very sensitive, food should be eaten fresh and not stored for long.
Vitamin D - the key hormone of the immune systemVitamin
D is known to many people as a bone health
Recent research has now shown that vitamin D is the key hormone of the immune system because it supports the normal functioning of the immune system. Only if the vitamin is available in sufficient quantities can the body's defence be mobilised.
Actually, vitamin D is not a vitamin at all, but the precursor of a hormone that the human body can produce itself by the regular exposure of the skin to sunlight. However, this self-production is often not sufficient, especially in the autumn and winter months, especially when the immune system is particularly challenged.
Vitamin D is only present in higher quantities in a few foods. Good sources are fatty sea fish, veal and eggs, but also mushrooms and avocados are among them.
Zinc and selenium - protect the body cellsThe
trace element zinc is essential for life, because it controls the function of more than 200 enzymes and is involved in many metabolic processes. For example, our body's good defence function depends on the zinc balance. But it also helps to protect our body cells from oxidative stress.
It is recommended to take in at least 10 mg zinc daily with food. In the case of additional physical strain, pregnancy or stress, it is also possible to take more. If you like oysters, you are doing something good for yourself, because it is the food richest in zinc. But also sea fish, seafood, dairy products or beef contain zinc.
Just like zinc, selenium helps to protect cell components from oxidative stress and to ensure normal functioning of the immune system.
Selenium is mainly found in meat, fish, chicken eggs, lentils and asparagus. However, the high degree of food processing and soils low in selenium can mean that the amount of selenium absorbed is not always optimal.
Aronia berry - try something new!
Do you already know chokeberry berries? Until a few years ago, hardly anyone in Germany knew this "power berry". But the small chokeberry berry, which originates from North America, has it all: chokeberry has certain secondary plant substances (flavonoids), the so-called anthocyanins. These are responsible for the violet, almost black colouring of the chokeberry. In principle, the darker the berries, the higher their anthocyanin content.
Anthocyanidin content (per 100 g) of berries
:- Aronia berries: 800 mg
sweet cherries 180 mg
grapes, blue 165 mg
strawberry 30 mg
The small berry is not suitable for snacking between meals, it is much too sour and tart in taste. However, it can be enjoyed wonderfully in a fruit tea or in a delicious fruit quark. Most of the aronial lovers like to drink the pressed juice pure. However, a dilution with other fruit juices is also popular.
