Vitamin B12 for energy metabolism¹ and vitamin D3 for the immune system²
An adequate supply of nutrients plays an important role in good health. Vitamin B12 cannot be produced by our body itself and must therefore be taken in through food.
Our body can produce vitamin D itself through regular exposure of the skin to sunlight. However, this self-production is often insufficient in our latitudes, depending on the season and living conditions.
Doppelherz Vitamin B12 + D3 Duo Aktiv contains vitamin B12 for energy metabolism in combination with vitamin D to support the normal function of the immune system.
The drinking bottles contain 25 μg vitamin D3. This is equivalent to 1,000 I.U. (International Units) of vitamin D3. The contents of the drinking bottles are lactose and gluten free!

Full energy with a healthy diet and vitamin B12
After the long dark months of winter and spring, many people lack energy. Plenty of outdoor exercise, well-filled nutrient stores and an adequate supply of vitamin B12 support the energy replenishment.
We often don't want to hear it, but it's so often true: when things get stressful, healthy eating often comes up short. For example, eating too much fat puts such a strain on the body that all that's left for the head is leaden fatigue.
If you want to change your diet, you should start with small steps. With an apple per day instead of the chocolate bar or a fresh salad instead of a curry sausage the beginning can succeed.
Vitamin B12 is important for our immune system, which is under great strain during the winter months. In addition, vitamin B12 helps to provide our body cells with the energy they urgently need by supporting normal energy metabolism. When present in sufficient amounts, it thus helps reduce fatigue and exhaustion.
How can an insufficient supply of vitamin B12 occur?
Vitamin B12 is only found in appreciable quantities in animal foods. Vegetarians and vegans consume virtually no vitamin B12 through plant foods.
Vegetarians can meet their needs through milk, dairy products or eggs. Vegans, however, should supplement their diet with vitamin B12. This is because some plant foods, such as nori algae or fermented foods like sauerkraut, do contain the vitamin - but only in very small amounts.
Since vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is a very sensitive and water-soluble vitamin, it can easily be destroyed by long storage times and cooking, so food handling should be very gentle.
In addition, vitamins can normally be absorbed directly by the intestine - the only exception being B12. In order for the B vitamin to enter the blood via the intestinal mucosa, it requires a special protein: the intrinsic factor (IF).
Unfortunately, older people naturally produce less and less of this protein, so that the body can absorb less and less vitamin B12 as a result. The lack of intrinsic factor is probably the most common cause of inadequate vitamin B12 supply.
Vitamin D - the multi-talent
The great importance of vitamin D for our health is beyond question. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function. One drinking bottle contains 25 μg vitamin D3. This is equivalent to 1000 I.U. (International Units) of vitamin D3.
Immune system:
Our bones are just as dependent on the multi-talent vitamin D as our immune system and every single one of our cells. The so-called "sun vitamin" can also contribute to the normal function of the immune system. This is because we now know that vitamin D influences various properties of the specific and non-specific immune system. The company history of Queisser Pharma
The company Queisser Pharma can look back on more than 100 years of company history. Comprehensive knowledge about health has a long tradition here.
The history of Queisser Pharma begins in 1897 in a small pharmaceutical factory in Hamburg. The graduate pharmacist Alfred Queisser had come from Lusatia in the district of Dresden to Hamburg to make his fortune as a manufacturer. He focused on the production of health and care products such as creams, liquid soap and toothpaste. Despite difficult circumstances, Alfred Queisser managed to continuously expand the company. He owed this to his extensive talents as a businessman, scientist and imaginative advertising expert, whom he united in one person.
The second root of today's Queisser Pharma was created by the Essen pharmacist Josef Peter Hennes. In 1919, he developed the original formula of today's Doppelherz® energy tonic from herbs and other natural ingredients. The tonic was produced and successfully marketed in the eponymous company founded by him.
Both houses eventually merged into "Queisser Pharma", which has been part of HGDF Familienholding Ltd. since the end of the 1970s. & Co. KG, a long-established Flensburg family business, whose parent company was founded in 1738 in Flensburg.
Queisser Pharma today
Since 1987, Queisser Pharma has its headquarters in Flensburg in the former production areas of a Rumherstellung. In addition to other brand products from Queisser, about 1 million liters of Doppelherz energy tonic are produced, bottled, packed and shipped in line with the market.
Queisser Pharma is guided by tradition and at the same time modern - with much grown experience and specialist knowledge, modern and innovative health products are regularly created.
Demand for health products has been increasing for many decades. Our headquarters in Flensburg has therefore been continuously adapted and expanded to meet the steadily growing popularity. Here many of our products are manufactured, packed and shipped in modern production lines. From Flensburg the products reach all over Germany and all over the world.
