Since 2002, the Ökologia Prize has been awarded to companies or entrepreneurs who have committed themselves through particularly exemplary projects in favor of ecology and contributed to the realization of the desired ecological and social market economy. Öko Windeln für Babys
Bei der Wahl der Windel machen sich viele Eltern Gedanken über Nachhaltigkeit und Umwelt. Stoffwindeln oder Öko Windeln werden dabei immer beliebter.
Was sind Öko Windeln
Als Öko Windeln werden in der Regel umweltverträgliche Einwegwindeln bezeichnet. Der Unterschied zu herkömmlichen Windeln liegt darin, dass sie zu großen Teilen aus biologisch abbaubaren Materialien bestehen. Dazu zählt beispielsweise FSC-zertifizierter Zellstoff.
Die Meinungen gehen auseinander, ab wann eine Windel den Titel Öko Windel verdient. Es gibt jedoch einige Kriterien, die eine Windel besonders naturbewusst und umweltfreundlich machen.
Warum ist die HiPP Windel naturbewusst?
1. Ressourcenschonende Produktion der Windel
Die naturbewussten HiPP Extra Weichen Windeln werden ressourcenschonend in einem Werk mit CO2-neutraler Energiebilanz durch den Einsatz von erneuerbaren Energien produziert. Hierbei wird lediglich Ökostrom verwendet und auf Schadstoffe verzichtet. Des Weiteren unterstützen wir weltweite Klimaschutzprojekte.
2. Nachhaltige Materialien
Der Zellstoff unserer Windeln stammt zu 100% aus verantwortungsvollen Quellen. Dabei legen wir viel Wert auf eine nachhaltige Forstwirtschaft. Der Beutel unserer Windel besteht zu 40% aus recyceltem Kunststoff.
3. Verpackung und Transport
Bei der Verpackung unserer Windeln verzichten wir auf große Pappkartons mit Innenbeutel und setzen eine dünne Folienverpackung ein. Dadurch wird weniger Müll produziert. Zusätzlich ist die Folienverpackung platzsparender, sodass wir in einem LKW mehr Windeln transportieren. So können wir Transportwege sparen und den CO2 Ausstoß verringern. Damit unsere Windeln möglichst kurze Transportwege haben, werden sie außerdem ausschließlich in Deutschland produziert.
HiPP Extra Weiche Windeln sind umweltfreundliche und naturbewusste Windeln.
Das findet auch Blauer Engel und hat uns somit das Siegel für die Windeln ab Größe 3 verliehen.
Was ist der Blaue Engel?
Der Blaue Engel ist seit mehr als 40 Jahren das Umweltzeichen der Bundesregierung. Das Umweltsiegel steht für unabhängige, glaubwürdige und anspruchsvolle Maßstäbe für umweltschonende und umweltfreundliche Produkte. Für naturbewusste Windeln und Öko Windeln bedeutet das:
- Zellstoff muss zu 100% aus nachhaltiger Forstwirtschaft stammen, z.B. FSC zertifiziert sein
- Zellstoff darf nicht unter Verwendung von elementarem Chlor gebleicht werden
- Windeln müssen frei von Schadstoffen und Kosmetikzusätzen sein
- Qualität und Gebrauchstauglichkeit muss über verschiedene Tests nachgewiesen werden

Schon gewusst? Genauso wie auch Öko Windeln, sind unsere naturbewussten HiPP Windeln neben dem Blauen Engel außerdem FSC zertifiziert und gelten als klimaneutral:
Dieses Siegel kennzeichnet Produkte aus Werken mit CO2-neutraler Energiebilanz. Dazu werden erneuerbare Energien (100% Ökostrom) eingesetzt sowie weltweite Klimaschutzprojekte unterstützt.
