With fluoride the basis for strong teeth
delicious and enjoy brushing your teeth with elmex® JUNIOR
For children from 6-12 years
Effective caries protection for the new permanent teeth during tooth replacement.
The highly effective amino fluoride immediately encloses the teeth with a protective shield.
The age-appropriate fluoride content (1,440ppm) strengthens the new, permanent teeth and protects them from caries.
The taste is pleasantly mild.
Children shouldn't feel compelled to brush their teeth, but should enjoy doing so. elmex JUNIOR supports this with a delicious taste. And a funny comic-strip-like description of how to brush properly (the KAI method, to be found under the "Notes/Tips" tab) also helps. Have fun brushing your teeth together!

Dentist visits from the first year of life
Regular check-ups at the dentist are important. Arrange a check-up visit to your dentist in the first year of life.
The right dental care for children
At about the age of 6 to 8 months, the first milk tooth breaks through, followed by the other milk teeth bit by bit.
At the age of about 3 years the milk teeth of children are usually complete and the permanent teeth develop under the milk teeth in the upper and lower jaws.
Loose milk teeth, gaps between the teeth and erupting permanent teeth make oral hygiene more difficult during tooth replacement. The new teeth need a lot of protection.
Brushing your teeth
The first teeth should be cleaned thoroughly every day, especially in the evening. This will remove the dangerous plaque. Until the 2nd birthday the teeth should be cleaned 1x daily with fluoride containing children's toothpaste, then 2x daily.
Brushing your teeth
The children now like to brush their teeth themselves and try out different types of handles while holding the toothbrush. At this age, children can already brush the chewing surfaces themselves, but parents can brush over them again.
Brushing your teeth
To protect the new permanent teeth from caries, you should choose a toothpaste with a higher fluoride content for your child. For cleaning, toothbrushes with X-bristles, which can reach into the spaces between the teeth, are particularly suitable.
Brushing your teeth correctly with the KAI method
|First, brush back and forth on the chewing surfaces: this will clean the top of the teeth. Start on the right side at the very back. Repeat on the lower teeth first, then the upper teeth and then on the left side.||Afterwards you clean the outside surfaces. You draw circles with your toothbrush: on the right side from the very back to the front and on the left side as well. Then close your teeth as you would when biting and brush your incisors in the same way.||Finally, the inner surfaces at the bottom and top are added. Start at the back again and brush from red to white, from gums to teeth. And always remember: brush your teeth after every meal.|
